Get Ready & Get There FAQ's
The biggest key to great photos is preparedness 😁
BE EARLY!
✔ This way you know you won't be late.
✔ If you are late, we most likely won't be able to take you.
✔ No puppy ever minded a quick potty-break before a photo shoot
✔ Early means less stress & they can feel you 😉
COLLAR / HARNESS *REQUIRED*
✔ Must have one or the other on your dog at all times
✔ Must be well-fitted
✔ Make sure you like it (it won't be Photoshopped*)
✔ If it has a bow/tie/flower on the collar, make sure it is movable.**
*We photoshop the leash when possible, but not collars or harnesses. We can accommodate occasional special requests for a fee.
**Make sure it's not attached to the collar right next to where the leash attaches. When we hold the leash, the decoration will slip to the back and there is no way to avoid it in this case.
GOT KIDS?
We LOVE human kids!
✔ MAKE SURE YOU TELL YOUR KID(S) that Santa is Santa's helper for Dogs
✔ That means he will remove his beard/gloves when meeting nervous pups.
✔ He will often pull his beard down to breathe better...dogs are a lot to wrangle in that wig, beard & suit.
WHAT TO WEAR - PEOPLE & PUPS
✔ We recommend Deep Green, Deep Red, Ivory or Gold...or any combination of those.
✔ Bright red/green/white may not look the way you'd wish on this set.
✔ Stay away from prints as there is already a lot of detail in this year's set
✔ People must be camera-ready upon arrival.*
✔ No special outfit required for pups - we love furry birthday suits 🥰
✔ If your Puppy has an outfit, have it on before your Session.
✔ No time for outfit changes (people or pups). Contact us to arrange extra time if this is a must for you.
✔ Please be aware that short skirts may limit pose choices with bigger pups 😉
✔ Pajama's or Track Suits? Sure! Evening gown? Yessss! Whatever floats your boat 😁
*Other than coat removal, you should be ready to be on-set.
Dogs should have outfits on already.

✔ Poop happens.
✔ We try to stay as on-time as possible.
✔ We appreciate your patience if we are a few minutes behind.

Once you enter the front door, turn left and sit tight...we'll come out that door and get you when we are ready for you ;)
If you prefer to wait in your car, keep your eye on the door and we will wave you in.

- Pet Wants has so many great treats for your pup! We will be in a separate shooting room, so you are welcome to come in and browse ahead of your appointment.
- Be sure to say "Hi!" to Jaclyn, the store owner! I have really enjoyed working with her and we're so happy to have them as our Naperville Host
- If we don't see you in the store, we'll check for you in the parking lot.

Plenty of street parking. You may also park in the lot.
ENTRY:
There are 2 ways to enter:
Good weather days: please enter the door on State Street. This door leads directly to our shooting room.
Bad weather days: enter through the main entrance in the parking lot. You can wait in the lobby until your shoot time, then walk through the daycare to get to us. Staff will guide you. There may be barking
